Rules for the Jul29 Final (from organizer PGI)
- Venue: Starbucks @ 1 Utama Old Wing
- Time: Must register by 2.00pm sharp. Finalists who do not turn up by 2.00pm sharp will lose their place to the stand-by pool.
- Stand-by pool: GC (5th), and 3rd place winners from all the other qualifiers shall form the pool, where their names will be drawn to replace any finalist who does not turn up by 2.00pm sharp.
- The draw for replacements will take place at 2.00pm sharp.
- The main draw will take place at 2.05pm. All winners from qualifiers (+2nd from GC) form one pool, while all others will form another pool.
- The first round shall comprise 4 tables where 2 winners will be drawn into each table. The other 2 players will be drawn from the other pool. This spreads the winners across the 4 tables.
- Finals will run on a straight knock-out format.
- The winner and runner-up from each table will progress to the semi-finals, again, spreading the winners across the 2 tables.
- In the event of a tie for 2nd place, the following tie-breaker will apply:
   a) Longest road.
   b) Largest army.
   c) Most cities.
   d) Most settlements.
   e) Most resource cards on hand.
   f) Die roll-out!
- Again, the winner and runner-up from each semi-finals will progress to the finals.

We look forward to unveiling Malaysia’s first two representatives!

ALL THE BEST! MAY THE BEST SETTLER WIN!

About Settlers of Catan
Settlers of Catan, designed by Klaus Teuber in 1995, is the world’s most popular designer game, and multi award winner, where players win by becoming the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads, through trading and resource management. It has an amazing appeal to non-gamers and gamers alike, and has been extensively used by educators in classroom to teach:

  • Laws of probability.
  • Basic economic principles of demand & supply.
  • Resource management.
