    * Jeff, please delete or repost this on another forum if needed. Thanks *

We are proud to announce our 3rd weekly meetup for gamers in the PJ area.

It will be held every Friday at 8pm sharp in Old Town Kopitiam in Section 8, PJ (Not to be confused with OTK Cheras).

The directions are as follows :

    a) If coming from Federal Highway, turn into the PJ Hilton exit. If coming from KL, turn left, PJ Hilton on your left. Keep right immediatly. Turn Right at the traffic lights (Courts Mammoth will be on your right). You will pass KFC on your left. Head straight down the road until you come to a T-junction. Turn right. Go straight and you will see OTK on your right. Turn right. Park at any of the ample parking space available. The place is called Avenue 8.

    b) If coming from Subang, use the Federal Highway, turn in at the Jalan 222 exit (will be a left turn). Turn right at the traffic lights, you will see a BP/Petronas petrol station on your left before the turning. Go straight until you come to a roundabout, the proton showroom will be on your right. Do a 9 o'clock at the roundabout, head straight down until you come to a traffic lights (take note that the PJ Police Headquarters will be on your right). Turn left at the traffic lights, head straight down that road until you see the OTK sign on your right. Turn right into Avenue 8. And park inside (free parking).

Please confirm by Wednesday whether if you are coming or not. And also whether if you are bringing games or not. You can contact either Marcus or Alan (co-organiser).

ooo... friday. what games are you guys planning on doing, and who are your target attendees?

i think jack208 won't mind much if your target audience doesn't clash with his.

On the list (there will be two or three tables, depending on the crowd) will be games like :

    Advanced table(s) :

    1) Brass

    2) Hameln

    Newbie table :

    1) Ticket to Ride : Marklin

    2) Catan (they seem to love it the last two meetups)

You are free to bring your own games. We finish at around 11pm. The girls in our group need to get home early.

Cool. We hope to see you. :) Bring your wargames kaki's too if you want. We can have another table for you guys. Just inform us in advance. OTK is pretty pack during Fridays. Much cheaper than gaming in Mage Cafe. Just buy a drink and you can play there all night.

Re: PJ Boardgame Meetup near PJ Hilton

    Brief update on meet-up:

Arrived late and there was a 4-player El Grande nearing the end. Alan won with a good lead, other players were friedricetheman, Sandy & Jerry. Then OTK told us they were closing at 10pm due to notice on electrical works in the building [or sthg like that lah].

Meet-up then moved to A&W, also near PJ Hilton. Sandy had to leave, leaving the 4 of us to play Brass. Game started after 10pm, and ended just after 11.30pm when Alan had to leave. So you see, 4-player game took less than 2 hours.

Then friedricetheman, Jerry and me decided to do a quick 3-player game. Play was fast and furious and took just over an hour.

I've edited my first post to include pics of the meetup. The 4 player Brass session pics will show definitive proof that the game took less than 2 hours. Check out the time stamp.

That Jerry guy (in red shirt) looks familiar. I think I met him during the Macross Convention.
