It’s FRIDAY and Thanksgiving’s just over! Boardgamecafe.net would like to say THANK YOU for all your support (special THANKS to those who contributed to the Terry Fox Run charity). To appreciate all of you, we are now starting our BLACK FRIDAY sale with 25% discount across the board on ALL items. And if you are generous & buy more than RM500, you get another 5% (total 30%). But hurry, sale ends 11 Dec (Sat) 12 m/nite.
The first prompt was made months back when Hiew (of the popular Hiew’s Boardgame Blog) asked if I’m interested to answer some questions he has regarding the online boardgaming business, the local market and about organizing boardgame meetups. Sure, why not? 😛
What’s Fox, Pretty Celebrity, Boardgames, and Hope have in common? They all appeared in last Sunday’s charity run in aid of cancer research, the famous TERRY FOX RUN! Were you not there? Aiyoh…
A night of confrontation saw Space Hulk: Death Angel and Wallenstein in play. Over at another table, we’ve lighter – but no less fun – games in Pickomino and Niagara!
A Diwali gaming evening than ended earlier than our usual Fri nite OTK meetup (ie before 12 midnite!) Yet we still got to play Agricola, Kuhhandel (You’re Bluffing), Railways of England & Wales, and Puerto Rico. Not bad for a short night.
Hiew’s back with his Hansa Teutonica while we also did some lighter games like Zooloretto, Citadels (making a long comeback) and The End of the Triumvirate. Find out how which games you can use to accommodate a playing group as large as 7 players and then as small as 3 players. Also find out why OLD is the new NEW. 🙂
I am writing to express our deepest thanks to those who have shown us and Terry Fox your great support by quickly snapping up all the t-shirts we’ve ordered! Thank you!
First meetup in October saw Agricola being used as a gateway game (ahem), while Vasco da Gama made his 2nd appearance in OTK and the evening (or rather morning) ended with Dungeon Lords kicking adventurers ass till 4+ am….
Whether you are a boardgamer who got into running, or a runner who discovers the joy of boardgaming – come join us and let us all run / jog / walk together this Nov 7th in support of the 30th Anniversary of Terry Fox Run 2010 in Kuala Lumpur!
