It’s YESTERDAY Once More (BGCR2022)
Only 3 years but it felt like an era past. Last month we returned to Essen Spiel. This month we prepare to restart our signature event, the BGC Retreat! And what better way than to look back to the past (we are hosting it at the same place we did our last Retreat in 2019) to reach for the future (by introducing for the very first time, a BoardgameKids Retreat and an optional 3rd Day)! To MARS and back, the Retreat is returning to its competitive mode (BGCR2019)
Last year’s dial-back more relaxed unstructured Retreat was a resounding success, bringing together gamers from Malaysia and Singapore for a weekend of (almost) non-stop gaming. This year we rotate back to our (original) semi-competitive format as we get set to host our 9th Retreat this Dec 7-8 at the 3rd Rock from the Sun.

The 2nd round featured no less than six (of the seven) games being a 2013 release – Glass Road, Legacy, Bruges, Artifact, Byzantio and Cafe Melange – and only Lords of Waterdeep was a 2012 game. So many new games…. so little time.

BGC Boardgame Retreat 2011 – Day Two (The Finale)
2 Days, 16+ Hours, 20 gamers, close to 40 different games – GAME SIX now brings us to the finale of this awesome Retreat. The most talked about game TROYES receiving the closing ceremony honor on Table #1 while two of the MASK Trilogy were on the next two tables – TIKAL & MEXICA. Table #4 saw re-emergence of GIANTS, another popular game from last year’s Retreat. Five gamers (Teddy, Junyet, Lee Ching, Kareem & Daren) are still in with a chance to win this semi-competitive tourney; three of them are in Table #1. Find out who’s the eventual winner!
