BGC in Essen Spiel 2013 – Day One (24/10) PM
The afternoon of Day One saw us visiting the usual suspects of Days of Wonder, AbacusSpiele, Amigo Spiele, and Pearl Games. We also covered some of the high-buzz games of this Essen namely YUNNAN, MADEIRA, KEYFLOWER, RUSSIAN RAILROADS and BRUXELLES 1893. And there’s one physical football simulation game called KICKET!
OTK Meetup 28/2/2014 – Elasund, Eldritch and Scepter of Zavandor
A night of light-medium & fun games with RA, 7 Wonders, Infinite City, Pick-a-Dog and King of Tokyo getting around the tables. We also have a group’s first play of ELDRITCH HORROR, a revisit to the First City of Catan in ELASUND and we ended with an old fave of economic-magic of SCEPTER OF ZAVANDOR.

BGC Meetup Report @ OTK Cheras 27/8/2011
As we look to transition from Old Town Kopitiam to new OTK, another Friday evening was well spent with the first play of ERUPTION (lava flow anyone?) and IMPERIAL being the main course. Innovation, Nightfall, 7 Wonders with Leaders, Kaigan were also seen on the tables.

The Aliens have landed! And I don’t mean these guys: Although that would have been cool too. π But in the form of Alien Frontiers and a whole bunch of games that arrived on our shores in BGC’s new shipment. This week also featured the appearance of the 2010 SdJ and KSdJ winners – Qwirkle and 7 Wonders. So what did we have in store for our night owls? π

The OTK meetups continued to grow with 5 tables during R1 and 4 tables in R2! The Hacans were so curious about the OTK sessions they sent their Queen the Merciful to come look-see for shark food! On this nite, we appointed two Russian Power Grid Tsars. OTK Pre-New Year Eve Meetup 30/12/10 β Alien Frontiers, Power Struggle, 7 Wonders
With the New Year coming up, we decided to do a double-date this week – that’s rite folks two OTK Meetups back-to-back. This is the report on the 1st OTK Meetup on Thu evening where we did Alien Frontier (again!) and our first-play of a game that we’ve been having in our library for a long time – Power Struggle!

This meetup came right after our Dec New Arrivals, and never before have so many new games hit the OTK tables in one night – Lords of Vegas, Magical Athlete, 7 Wonders, Horse Fever, Leaping Lemmings, and some not-so-new ones like Nanuk, Carcassonne, and Age of Steam – attended by over 18+ gamers; almost a whos-who of the local boardgaming scene. π
