As the tumultuous 2020 came to a close, it’s time to put on a reflective hat and take a quick account of last year. It’s certainly not your usual year, but it’s also not all that bad. Here’s a round-up of Boardgamecafe.net in 2020. It was a challenging year but it was also one where we’ve many things to be grateful for.

Time for us to pay homage to another prolific boardgame designer as we rolled out MARTIN WALLACE games for tonight’s meetup. Wallace simply has too many games for us to cover but tonight we checked four of his faves AGE OF STEAM, LIBERTE, DISCWORLD: ANKH-MORPORK and GETTYSBURG.
Many familiar faces were seen again in OTK Cheras! Perhaps it’s because that it’s probably the last few times that we’ll play there? π

This meetup came right after our Dec New Arrivals, and never before have so many new games hit the OTK tables in one night – Lords of Vegas, Magical Athlete, 7 Wonders, Horse Fever, Leaping Lemmings, and some not-so-new ones like Nanuk, Carcassonne, and Age of Steam – attended by over 18+ gamers; almost a whos-who of the local boardgaming scene. π
