Season’s Greetings, fellow Board Gamers! Ever since our unsuccessful attempt to revive the Secret Santa meetup in 2020, we’ve been hoping each new Xmas would be the one to restart it. This year seemed to be slipping away from us… until we decided to take the plunge and call for it next Friday! #justdoit

WHAT

Our Secret Santa Meetup is part board game meetup, and part gift exchange! It is the perfect opportunity to gather with our regular meetup buddies for one more get-together before we bid adios to this wonderful year!

How It Works:

1. Sign Up: Register for the exchange by RSVPing on our Meetup page. No purchase required.
2. Set Your Wish List: Let us know your favorite board games by listing three board games that are in-stock in our webstore priced below RM200 (webstore price).
3. Draw Names: We’ll randomly assign each participant a Secret Santa recipient.
4. Get Shopping: Select a board game gift from your recipient’s Wish List and place an order for it on our webstore. The budget should be within RM150-RM200 (based on webstore price).
5. Enjoy the BGC Secret Santa 40% discount! To spread the festive joy, BGC will be sending you a 40% discount voucher to apply to your Secret Santa order.
   • Discount applicable to one order under this Secret Santa event.
   • No minimum order. Discount value capped at RM80.

Frequently Asked Questions!

What if I am not able to attend the Meetup Session on Friday, can I still join the event and have my gift delivered to me?

Answer: Sorry, this promo is designed for a year-end meetup. You need to be present at the Meetup Session on Friday. If you sign-up and can’t attend, your gift will be canceled.

Can I buy more than one game for my Secret Santa?

Answer: Yes you can. If you’re feeling generous, you can buy all 3 games listed in your Secret Santa’s wish list. However, please note that the Secret Santa voucher has a cap of RM80.

If my Secret Santa’s Wish List does not have any single game priced at RM150 or higher, what do I do?

Answer: In this case, your Secret Santa likely listed games around the RM100ish ballpark. You can buy one of the games from the Wish List even if it doesn’t meet the RM150 budget criteria. Your Secret Santa will still be happy to receive one of their fave games!

I might be busy over the next few days and may not have time to place the Secret Santa order. Are you able to help?

Answer: Happy to help! You can delegate the task to our BGC Elves! Just send us an email (or messenger / whatsapp) with your order instruction, and we’ll place the order for your Secret Santa.

If I do not wish to join in the Gift Exchange, can I still attend the 27/12 Meetup?

Answer: Yes you can. This Friday is still our (usual) Casual Friday Meetup (the last for 2024), so everyone is welcome. However, the meetup fee for this Friday is RM20. If you join the Secret Santa programme, you can attend the meetup for free!

What will be played in this Friday’s Meetup?

Answer: The usual Casual Friday fares, with a bias towards Christmas theme. Expect to see games like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ticket to Ride: Nordic, Patchwork Christmas Edition, Dice Throne: Santa vs Krampus, Santa Cookie Elf Candy Snowman, and Santa Maria.

Would there be door gift? Well, since you said festive joy and all that…
